SPOOKY, SALTY, SATISFYING!

Blood sugar regulation... You hear a lot about it these days, and here we are at Halloween time when the sugar and glucose spikes get scary!! 😧👻🫣


The other day LMNT put out a few salty treat recipes that will be sure to satisfy and not send you on a roller coaster. Why? Salt. Here’s what they wrote:


Salt can enhance flavors and make food more satisfying, which might help you and your kids feel satiated with smaller portions. And when you make treats at home, you control the ingredients. No high fructose corn syrup. No artificial colors. No unnecessary added sugars.


So here’s two I found to be very simple! I tweaked a couple things, but here ya go. ENJOY!

Simple and salty ingredients make healthy snacking for the whole family.


Chocolate Raspberry Frozen Yogurt Bites

Ingredients

2/3 stick pack LMNT Chocolate Salt (Available at Enzo Athletic Performance)

1/3 stick pack LMNT Raspberry Salt (Available at Enzo Athletic Performance)

2 pints raspberries

2 cups fat free or low fat greek yogurt 

2 cups dark chocolate chips

Directions

Mix raspberries and yogurt. Spoon onto parchment-lined cookie sheet. Freeze 4 hours. Melt chocolate chips and stir in LMNT. Dip frozen yogurt bites into chocolate. Freeze until ready to serve.

*For later on, Chocolate Salt and Raspberry Salt can also be swapped with 1 stick pack Chocolate Raspberry, which is a limited time flavor coming soon for winter!


Pomegranate Gummy Worms

Ingredients

1 stick pack LMNT Citrus Salt (Available at Enzo Athletic Performance) OR LMNT Watermelon Salt (Available at Enzo Athletic Performance)

1.5 cups water OR pomegranate juice

4 tbsp grass-fed gelatin

Directions

Mix ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.

Stir until the gelatin completely dissolves.

Once dissolved, remove from heat and pour into a gummy tray or square dish.

Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until the gelatin sets.
