There are those times in our life when we may feel empty and like we have nothing to give to anyone, especially those around us supporting and even reassuring us, but what we don’t realize is that that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
When we think we are only taking and fueling off another’s energy, there is likely someone out there who is watching and learning from us and even feeling supported: They are watching you show up- maybe they see you and see strength (even when you don’t feel it), maybe they feel inspired by your vulnerability, or maybe it prompts them to step outside of their comfort zone to simply pay attention and get outside of themselves and even offer service and compassion to those around them.
It takes bravery to notice and acknowledge and vocalize when someone seems to need a helping hand- It also takes bravery to admit when you need a helping hand.
But when you think you have nothing to offer, it’s actually an opportunity to offer the blessing of letting someone in and letting someone help or listen or just sit with you in it. There are so many people out there inspired by you and you don’t even know it!
Relationship and connectedness are what we are made for- it’s why we are here… Just remember: progress, and love, and accountability- they’re all a team sport. PROGRESS IS A TEAM SPORT.
