Sleep Trouble? Try a brain dump!
If you haven’t heard, sleep is one of the major factors in improving health and longevity. Sleep, especially REM sleep, is essential for our mind and body to recover and process, and learn.
So how can you improve sleep?
Much data points to journaling. Not only do people who journal experience less sleep disturbances but their percentage of restorative REM sleep rises. You don’t have to spend a lot of time or write a book, though. Simply spend 5 minutes before bed doing a brain dump. Write down anything that you’re using energy to think about or try and remember:
All your thoughts, ideas, to-do lists…
No structure or organization needed, just DUMP. Clear that mental clutter until you have only one thing to think about…well, two:
GRATITUDE and SLEEP.
